Group Run #2

Nice to see some more people out to tonight's run. Good efforts on the introduction of a few running form drills, and on the Lansdowne hill runs, folks!

Next week we'll continue with some longer hills but on a more undulating route as opposed to repeats on the same hill. Variety is the spice of life.

The grade and length of hills in this area are well suited to building leg strength and learning how to run up and over long hills without blowing up from too fast a pace. That's the last thing you want to have happen in any running or triathlon race.

See you next week.

Thanks Duncan. Last night's run was very good. The workout was good, the weather was good, and the company was good. Hey...it's all good! Looking forward to a varied route next week.

Tomorrow's ride is 3.5 hours. I'm thinking of riding Sooke way. Probably leaving my place (View Royal) around 9:00. Anyone want to join me?

Thanks Duncan...It was fun last night. I forgot how nice it is to run and be encouraged by a group. Makes going up the hills that much more enjoyable... : ) Oooppss, forgot "Hills are our friends" right Pamela???

I have a commitment tomorrow at noon but I'm planning on blowing the dust off my bike for next weekend's ride.

Off to the pool now. Have a nice weekend.

Alison : )

PS: A swim, bike and run??? Don't tell me I'm trying to come out of retirement.. ; )

Hey Duncan,

Thanks for taking the task of herding us cats. Lots of fun to run with a group again.

See you all in a couple of weeks.
